Installing and setup our Joomla templates is very easy. You only need the zip file (aka: the template installer) and a couple of minutes of your time.

Download the template

Download your favorite design from our templates page. For this example we are using Sakura, a minimal template design for blogs and portfolio.

Click in the download button and type your email in the popup or tweet.

An email with the final download link will be send you. Please check your email client; in case you don't see the message check in the spam box.

 

Install the template

In your website, login from the backend. Go to Extensions > Manage > Upload package file.

Browse the zip file you downloaded and click "Upload and install" button.

Wait until you receive a success message, which would means the template was installed.

 

Assign the template

Let's enable the new design for your entire website by going to Extensions > Templates.

From the list of available template styles find the one you installed, click on the title. For example: fx_templatename - Default

In the new page, set Default: All

Click "Save" button; then go to your public site (aka: frontend) to see the new look.

Configure color, fonts, background, etc.

Depending on the template the number of features may be different; you can choose a custom color scheme, Google Fonts, background and more from the Advanced tab.

Add the main menu

Go to Extensions > Modules > New > Menu module. Set position menu. In Advanced > Alternative Layout: mainmenu

Third party extensions

Some of the templates use third party extensions such as slideshow, contact form, etc. You may see this extensions working in the demo templates; you need to download and install by separate those extensions from the author's site.
